BORNTOSTANDOUT, a niche perfume brand from Seoul, South Korea, got its start in 2020 thanks to Jun Lim, a fragrance nut who went all in on his passion. It hit the scene officially in 2022, shaking things up with a vibe that’s all about ditching the rules and being yourself loud and proud. The brand pulls from Korean roots, riffing off Joseon Dynasty porcelain with a bold red-and-white look that screams rebellion but keeps it classy. Its scents? They’ve got guts—think wild names and big, unforgettable vibes that pull in anyone who’s after something different. Teaming up with heavy hitters like Olivier Cresp and Florian Gallo, they’ve cooked up stuff like "Dirty Rice" a creamy, woody-musk thing—and "Indecent Cherry," which pops with fresh, juicy cherry. These, plus a bunch more, have fragrance fans hooked on their gutsy, soulful twists. In February 2025, L’Oréal’s venture fund, BOLD, tossed some cash their way, betting on their fresh take and helping them spread their wings globally while keeping the creative juices flowing. Now, BORNTOSTANDOUT’s got the world’s attention with its fearless scents, slick packaging, and a no-apologies attitude that’s all about owning who you are. Designer BORNTOSTANDOUT® has 48 perfumes in our fragrance base. BORNTOSTANDOUT® is a new fragrance brand. The earliest edition was created in 2022 and the newest is from 2025. BORNTOSTANDOUT® fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Anne-Sophie Behaghel, Véronique Nyberg, Florian Gallo, Gaël Montero, Christophe Raynaud, Margaux Le Paih Guérin, Alex Lee, Olivier Cresp, Hamid Merati-Kashani, Honorine Blanc, Jérôme di Marino, Quentin Bisch, Frank Voelkl, Camille Chemardin, Nathalie Lorson, Daphné Bugey, Amelie Bourgeois, Dora Baghriche, Julie Massé, Jordi Fernández, Suzy Le Helley, Maxime Exler, Violaine Collas and Cecile Matton.
